Schedule/Hours
- Travel position; full-time schedule (exact shifts provided during onboarding)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for adult patients recovering from cardiac surgery
- Monitor post-op cardiac status using critical assessment skills
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to design and execute individualized treatment plans
- Administer and document medications, interventions, and ongoing assessments
- Educate patients and families regarding post-surgical care and recovery processes
- Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control policies
Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Previous experience in a stepdown, cardiac, or PCU environment highly preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
