As a registered nurse in a stepdown setting, you will play a pivotal part in delivering effective, patient- and family-centered care, emphasizing safety, satisfaction, and collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent stepdown or progressive care experience strongly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical interventions
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills
- Adept at patient and family education and multidisciplinary collaboration
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments and reassessments, promptly identifying changes in patient condition
- Develop, prioritize, implement, and continually update individualized plans of care
- Collaborate closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care
- Deliver evidence-based education to patients and families, ensuring understanding throughout the continuum of care, including discharge planning
- Document interventions and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Delegate tasks effectively, providing guidance and mentorship to both licensed and non-licensed team members
- Engage in continuous quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives
- Uphold current practice standards and participate in governance and shared decision-making activities
