A registered nurse with specialized experience in stepdown or med-surg telemetry acute care is sought for a contract position in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in either a progressive care unit (PCU), med-surgical, or telemetry setting depending on the greatest need and matching the nurses skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care to individuals in stepdown, med-surg, or telemetry units
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
- Float between units or nearby sites within 40 miles as needed, adapting quickly to different clinical environments
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU, med-surg, telemetry, or acute care nursing
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic hospital environment with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to float across units and sites within the stipulated geographical range
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
