Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in working within interdisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus, but not required

Schedule/Hours:

  • Assignments based on contract duration
  • Rotating shifts and weekend hours required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a busy stepdown unit
  • Monitor and respond to changes in cardiac patient status
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement care
  • Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge instructions
  • Accurately document interventions and patient responses in the electronic medical record
  • Adhere to established protocols and safety procedures, contributing to positive patient outcomes
