Key Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in working within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule/Hours:
- Assignments based on contract duration
- Rotating shifts and weekend hours required
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a busy stepdown unit
- Monitor and respond to changes in cardiac patient status
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement care
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge instructions
- Accurately document interventions and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to established protocols and safety procedures, contributing to positive patient outcomes
