An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with expertise in stepdown care to provide high-quality nursing services on a rotating day and night schedule. This contract position offers the chance to apply specialized clinical skills in a dynamic hospital setting.
Location:

Schedule:
- Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 am 7:30 pm / 7:00 pm 7:30 am)
- Shifts may vary to meet operational needs
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit prior to travel
- Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to recognize ECG rhythms and complete safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation
- Experience with PCU/Progressive Care preferred but not required
- Willingness to work at least every other holiday
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring stepdown-level monitoring and intervention
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, managing acute changes proficiently
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize electronic systems to accurately document patient care and submit hours worked
