Schedule/Hours:

• 48-hour contract
• Manage a 16-20 bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Demonstrated expertise in caring for patients with complex conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, CHF, hyperemic/hypertensive emergencies, COPD, CKD, DM2, substance abuse issues, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care to stepdown/telemetry patients with a variety of acute and chronic conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure best patient outcomes
• Manage medication administration, ongoing assessment, and rapid response protocols
• Educate and support patients and families, particularly those managing co-morbidities
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold evidence-based standards of care
