Job Description

Take on a dynamic role as a Registered Nurse in a stepdown unit, providing advanced patient care and guidance based on proven nursing models. Schedule/Hours:

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license.
  • Recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based practice and patient/family-centered care.
  • Ability to deliver compassionate care aligned with established nursing frameworks.
  • Effective leadership skills; experience supervising or mentoring staff a plus.
  • Strong communication and patient advocacy abilities.
  • Proficient with electronic health records and thorough clinical documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough patient assessments and reassessments, exercising sound clinical judgment.
  • Develop, initiate, and regularly revise individualized patient care plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, embracing organizational resources to support patients and their families.
  • Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions, ensuring care goals are met.
  • Educate patients and families based on assessed needs, and provide resources for continued care post-discharge.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel, fostering a culture of mentorship and teamwork.
  • Participate in initiatives to improve quality, safety, and service outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.
