Step into a dynamic patient care environment focused on high-quality outcomes within a Progressive Care Unit. This nursing position specializes in stepdown patient care for individuals with cardiovascular needs. Work in a facility recognized for its advanced cardiac services, and provide exceptional support to patients in transition between critical and general care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 4x12-hour (18:30 07:00)
- Option for 36 or 48-hour work weeks
- Weekend shifts as needed, on a rotating basis
- Block scheduling available case by case
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- At least 1+ years of recent stepdown/PCU nursing experience (2 years strongly preferred)
- Previous cardiovascular care experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; CPI preferred
- Experience with EPIC documentation system is an asset
- Open to first-time travelers
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patients in a 55-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit
- Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:4
- Float as needed to other units
- Accurately document patient care, assessments, and changes in status
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Respond to rapid patient changes promptly and efficiently
- Adhere to policies regarding RTO, shift requirements, and dress code (any color scrubs, no logo)
