A registered nurse with stepdown experience is needed to provide specialized care in a progressive cardiac care unit. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 55-bed progressive cardiac unit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage cardiovascular patients
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during night shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
- Utilize EPIC documentation system accurately and efficiently
- Adapt to float assignments and assist different areas as needed
- Engage in weekend rotations and support staffing needs
- Comply with established protocols and nursing standards
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with stepdown nursing experience; cardiovascular experience required
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, with 2 years preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and flexible scheduling arrangements
- Competent in EPIC electronic medical records system
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts, 4 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
- Option to work either 36 or 48 hours weekly
- Weekend and float assignments required as needed
