Schedule/Hours:
- 48-hour contract
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a step-down or similar acute care unit
- ACLS and BLS certifications (current)
- Adept at managing critical care patients (sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, TDM2, substance abuse, status epilepticus, encephalopathy)
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for 16-20 bed step-down unit with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio
- Swiftly assess, monitor, and respond to patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage complex infusions, and perform interventions according to protocols
- Educate patients and families for smooth transitions of care
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation
