Step into a vital role within a progressive medical stepdown unit, serving 16-20 beds. You'll collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals and care for patients presenting with complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes (TDM2), substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. This assignment provides valuable exposure to advanced clinical practices and innovative leadership approaches that will enrich your resume and set you apart in your nursing career.

Schedule/Hours:
- 48-hour contract
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to a patient load of 4:1, specializing in complex, high-acuity cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate individualized care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond promptly to any changes in condition
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Accurately document all clinical activities in accordance with regulatory standards
