This role offers direct exposure to respected healthcare teams utilizing a variety of workplace practices and clinical leadership approaches. Schedule & Hours
- 12-hour night shifts, 1900 0730
- Three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call shifts; holiday coverage required based on unit needs (including July 4th)
Desired Qualifications
- Current Kansas RN or Compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/ICU
- Competency with CRRT, Bipaps, chest tubes, PICC management, drawing labs, and independent code response
- Prior experience floating to a variety of inpatient units
- New graduates are not eligible for this role
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to stepdown/PCU patients
- Float to ICU, med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, or ED as needed
- Perform critical interventions: manage PICC lines, chest tubes, and respond to codes independently
- Manage laboratory procedures and consultations without a vascular access team
- Participate in comprehensive training and orientation, including Epic EMR
