Job Description

This contract opportunity seeks a skilled RN for a stepdown setting, focusing on patients with complex, high-acuity needs. Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts as determined by the facilitys needs
  • Patient ratios typically 1:4-5

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license issued by Georgia or a compact state
  • At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown or critical care setting
  • Hands-on proficiency with Telemetry monitoring and ventilator care
  • Demonstrated skill overseeing complex wound care
  • Experience administering drips, including Norepinephrine and Dopamine
  • Strong critical thinking and rapid-response skills
  • Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the job site (no local travelers)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for adults requiring frequent monitoring, specialized equipment, and advanced therapies
  • Monitor patient status using Telemetry equipment and interpret findings
  • Administer prescribed medications, including critical care drips, and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
  • Manage ventilator-dependent patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy as needed
  • Oversee all aspects of wound care, following evidence-based protocols for optimal healing
  • Maintain precise documentation in compliance with facility standards and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care
