Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Stepdown, Telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring and advanced cardiac life support
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in an academic medical center (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and care for patients with complex cardiac conditions transitioning from intensive care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans
• Administer cardiac medications and manage telemetry equipment
• Recognize changes in patients conditions and intervene promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and home care instructions
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
