Schedule/Hours
- Rotating weekends: every other
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Up to 6 days off approved (excluding holidays), with flexible RTO management
Desired Qualifications
- Active RN license
- At least 18 months of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
- Accepts first-time travelers
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency with tracheostomy care, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product transfusion, wound management, and central line maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care for patients with conditions such as CHF, chest pain, strokes, abdominal or respiratory illnesses, diabetes, acute or chronic kidney injuries, ETOH withdrawal, and more
- Monitor patient ratios of 1:4 (may flex to 1:5 based on acuity)
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including CNAs, phlebotomists, RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, and telemetry monitors
- Utilize Epic, Alaris, Omnicell, and Phillips equipment efficiently
- Float between facilities within the regional network as needed (paid travel time mid-shift)
- Adhere to family-oriented unit culture and professional standards
