A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in step-down care to provide support in a progressive care unit (PCU) with additional ICU involvement, all within the scope of practice. The role encompasses flexible nursing responsibilities across PCU and medical-surgical units, allowing for a varied and engaging work experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably including travel nursing
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; certification in Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is preferred
- Proven ability to work effectively in both PCU and ICU settings
Location: Positioned in Iowa Park, Texas, this contract role offers the chance to contribute in a community known for its welcoming environment and comfortable living. Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients within the PCU while supporting ICU functions as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document care and monitor patient progress with accuracy and attention to detail
- Adapt to the demands of night shifts and effectively manage patient needs during these hours
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a guaranteed minimum of 72 hours
This contract position begins on either March 9th or March 23rd, offering a structured schedule in a dynamic healthcare setting.
