Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Experience in Stepdown, PCU, or cardiac surgery care settings
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
  • Motivated, adaptable, and eager to engage with diverse teams and evolving protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a progressive care environment
  • Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans
  • Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, recovery milestones, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and uphold safety standards
