Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Experience in Stepdown, PCU, or cardiac surgery care settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- Motivated, adaptable, and eager to engage with diverse teams and evolving protocols
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a progressive care environment
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, recovery milestones, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and uphold safety standards
