Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
  • Experience in stepdown, intermediate care, or progressive care nursing preferred
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care for a variety of heart failure patients in the stepdown unit
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patients cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes
  • Administer medications and interventions per care plan and unit procedures
  • Educate patients and families about cardiac care and recovery
