In this role on a specialized stepdown PCU cardiac unit, you'll gain firsthand experience caring for a diverse population of heart failure patients. Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Experience in stepdown, intermediate care, or progressive care nursing preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care for a variety of heart failure patients in the stepdown unit
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patients cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes
- Administer medications and interventions per care plan and unit procedures
- Educate patients and families about cardiac care and recovery
