Exciting opportunity for an experienced RN with strong Stepdown expertise to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract assignment offers you a chance to utilize your clinical skills while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support patients transitioning from critical to acute care.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year Stepdown or Progressive Care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
Schedule:
- Variable shifts based on department needs (details provided during interview)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to Stepdown unit patients, monitoring complex conditions and responding promptly to changes in status
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and document patient responses accurately
- Educate patients and families on recovery plans, treatments, and self-care
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Serve as a patient advocate, demonstrating compassionate, evidence-based practice
