Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position (length to be discussed with qualified candidates)
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit, or similar high-acuity environment
- Proficient in complex patient monitoring, cardiac drips, and early intervention for deteriorating patients
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and manage patients transitioning from intensive care, including those with cardiac, neurological, and respiratory challenges
- Administer medications, manage IV drips, and interpret telemetry readings with accuracy
- Provide patient and family education, ensuring clarity and support throughout recovery
- Work closely with providers and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and uphold all facility policies and procedures
