Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted RN license
  • At least one year of recent experience in a stepdown (progressive care, telemetry, or intermediate care) unit
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients with complex medical needs in the stepdown unit, delivering high-quality nursing care
  • Administer medications, therapies, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety at all times
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
  • Educate patients and their families regarding condition management and post-discharge care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital and regulatory standards
  • Respond promptly to evolving patient conditions and participate actively in emergency situations
