Take on a vital role supporting a dynamic stepdown/ICU overflow unit in a renowned hospital setting. This contract opportunity centers on providing high-quality nursing care for patients requiring advanced clinical management, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and working alongside an experienced and collaborative team.

Key Details and Schedule:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Holiday support expected
• No on-call shifts
• Floating across units as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active RN license with stepdown or ICU experience in a large hospital setting
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Advanced competence in critical care pharmacology, including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Expertise in central line management and experience assisting with bedside procedures (e.g., chest tube insertions, intubations)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, think critically, and collaborate well with colleagues
• Experience with Cerner charting systems preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to a diverse adult patient population (ICU: 2:1 ratio, PCU: 4-5:1)
• Perform advanced assessments and intervene using the latest lift equipment, TTM, IV pumps, and ventilators
• Collaborate with medical providers for bedside procedures as needed
• Conduct consistent bedside shift reports and support patient rounding
• Adhere to all unit-specific policies and maintain high standards of patient safety and satisfaction
