Qualifications
- Current RN license, valid for the state of Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications, active and up to date
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to Stepdown patients, managing complex monitoring and early intervention for complications
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and assess patient response
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and transitions of care
