A skilled RN with step-down or PCU experience is needed for a contract assignment in Grain Valley, MO. This position offers the opportunity to deliver focused nursing care in a progressive care unit setting, working primarily night shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit (PCU) with high acuity needs
- Manage complex patient situations including arterial lines, drips, and non-invasive ventilation support such as BiPAP and Airvo
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Float to lesser acuity units as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Adhere to facility protocols including nicotine-free policy and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least 1 year of PCU step-down experience
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Experience with high acuity patients, arterial line management, and advanced respiratory support preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715), including every other weekend and major holidays (with scheduling flexibility)
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Major holiday coverage with potential for scheduled time off
