Professionals in this role will have the opportunity to work in a progressive care (PCU/Stepdown) unit, encountering a variety of patient cases that enhance clinical decision-making, collaboration, and rapid-response skills. Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU/Stepdown environment
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Administer medications, operate advanced monitoring equipment, and respond swiftly to changes in patient status
- Educate patients and families, promoting understanding and involvement in the care process
- Document assessments and interventions accurately and promptly
