Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a stepdown unit, providing expert assessment and intervention for patients requiring close monitoring and support. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to establish and achieve individualized patient goals, while leading and directing support staff to ensure high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and deliver skilled nursing care according to physician orders and evidence-based practices.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, educate patients, respond promptly to call lights and alarms, and assist with patient transfers.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, contributing to updates and revisions in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
• Function as a team leader, providing oversight and direction to nursing support staff.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of and adherence to regulatory standards and hospital protocols.
