Relevant Experience/Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- Recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience strongly preferred
- Experience caring for patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, CP rule-out, noninvasive ventilation, and post-cardiothoracic surgeries
- Proficiency with antiarrhythmic IV medications and peripheral vascular compromise management
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to high-acuity, diverse patient populations in a Stepdown setting
- Administer and titrate cardiac medications and safely monitor post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Interpret and respond to complex cardiac rhythms and rapidly evolving conditions
- Educate patients and families, supporting recovery and discharge planning
