An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced RN to provide care on a dynamic Cardiac Stepdown unit at a large, Magnet-certified academic medical center. As a vital member of a dedicated healthcare team, you will support patients transitioning from critical to stable condition, playing a key role in their ongoing recovery.

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent stepdown or progressive care experience
• Strong cardiac monitoring skills; experience with cardiac drips preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience in large teaching hospitals strongly valued
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Adept at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and coordinate safe, quality nursing care for stepdown patients, focusing on bedside assessment and ongoing monitoring
• Administer cardiac medications and monitor hemodynamic stability
• Recognize subtle changes in patient condition, intervening promptly as necessary
• Document care and communicate patient status with providers and families
• Educate patients and families about cardiac recovery and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit meetings and ongoing professional development
