Job Description

A clinical opportunity is available for an experienced Stepdown RN skilled in managing intermediate care patients in a high-acuity environment. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care during night shifts with strong teamwork and adaptability.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or a Compact license valid before start date
  • Minimum of one year clinical experience in a stepdown or similar setting
  • Certifications in ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS certification preferred
  • Ability to flexibly float within scope to related units as needed
  • Experience with electronic health records, preferably Epic

Location: Position is based in Dillon, SC, a community offering a balance of small-town charm and access to regional amenities. The area features free parking and is within a 60-mile local radius from the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to stepdown patients with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1
  • Work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holiday rotations, with no on-call duties
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using Epic charting system
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of facilitys hurricane season preparedness efforts

  • This contract opportunity includes a rotating holiday schedule and the possibility to request block scheduling approval
  • Free parking is provided on site
  • Travelers should be aware of potential emergency assignments during hurricane season from June through November
