Schedule/Hours:
- 48-hour contract
- Stepdown unit with 1620 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:4
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting
- Must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proven ability to care for patients with complex conditions including chronic kidney disease, COPD, substance abuse, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients transitioning from critical to acute care
- Assess, plan, and implement patient-centered care plans in a fast-paced stepdown environment
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and support staff to ensure seamless transitions
- Educate patients and their families on care plans, prevention, and health awareness
- Diligently document and report patient progress and critical changes
