Schedule/Hours:

  • 48-hour contract
  • Stepdown unit with 1620 beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:4

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting
  • Must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Proven ability to care for patients with complex conditions including chronic kidney disease, COPD, substance abuse, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients transitioning from critical to acute care
  • Assess, plan, and implement patient-centered care plans in a fast-paced stepdown environment
  • Collaborate with physicians, case management, and support staff to ensure seamless transitions
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, prevention, and health awareness
  • Diligently document and report patient progress and critical changes
