Schedule/Hours:
- 48-hour contract
- Assignments in a 16-20 bed medical stepdown unit
- Patient ratio: 1:4
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Clinical expertise with patients diagnosed with Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, T2DM, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
- Demonstrated adaptability and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a stepdown setting for patients with multi-system disorders
- Continuously monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and specialists to ensure optimal outcomes
- Safely administer medications, including titrating drips and responding to emergencies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge preparation
- Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation
