Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • Various shifts available

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license recognized in Georgia, or a compact RN license
  • Previous experience caring for stepdown-level patients
  • Proficient in managing telemetry, ventilators, complex wound care, and administering drips (Norepinephrine and Dopamine)
  • Comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
  • Minimum of 50 miles residence distance from the facility required; local travelers are ineligible

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients transitioning from critical illness, including those with ventilators and complex wounds
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and responses to treatment
  • Safely titrate vasoactive drips such as Norepinephrine and Dopamine per physician orders and established protocols
  • Interpret telemetry strips, respond to changes promptly, and collaborate with medical providers for patient stabilization
  • Manage medical equipment, including ventilators and wound care supplies, ensuring safety and efficient usage
  • Participate in interdisciplinary communication to optimize individualized care plans, discharge planning, and overall patient outcomes
  • Adhere to infection control, medication administration, and patient safety policies at all times
