Key Requirements:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years experience in stepdown or progressive care settings
• Proven expertise working with cardiac care patients
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-volume, acute care environments
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experience in large academic or teaching hospitals is highly preferred

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts with rotating weekends and holidays as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage care for cardiac stepdown patients, including continuous monitoring, assessments, and timely interventions
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education on treatment, ongoing care, and health management
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform clinical procedures aligned with evidence-based practice
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes per hospital protocols
• Engage in ongoing quality and safety initiatives within the unit
