We are seeking a registered nurse (RN) skilled in stepdown nursing to provide high-quality, compassionate care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) strongly preferred
- Proven ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Proficiency in managing complex, rapidly changing clinical situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Primary Duties:
- Deliver direct nursing care to stepdown patients, monitoring their status and responding to changes with clinical expertise
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient transitions and optimal outcomes
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and utilize advanced monitoring equipment
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans, fostering a supportive environment for recovery
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records
- Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures
