Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to stepdown patients, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, providing timely interventions and escalation as needed
• Document all care and patient responses accurately and in accordance with facility standards
• Provide clear communication and education to patients and their families regarding care, treatments, and next steps
• Adhere to infection control, quality, and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a stepdown unit or similar setting
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
