Schedule/Hours:
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No on-call shifts
- 75% participation in holidays
- Up to 6 days of approved time off (holidays excluded; additional time off may impact contract length)
- 2 days of departmental orientation
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months recent PCU RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Comfortable with tracheostomy care, cardiac gtt, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, central lines, wound care
- Willing to float within region and scope of practice
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care for patients with CHF, dysrhythmias, chest pain, stroke, abdominal and respiratory illnesses, diabetes, AKI/CKD, and more
- Patient ratios typically 1:4, may increase to 1:5 depending on acuity
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, physicians, RT, IV/VAT, and support staff
- Utilize EPIC, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
- Participate in departmental and facility orientation
