As a Stepdown RN, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic conditions, helping to manage cases ranging from cardiac issues to abdominal illnesses. Schedule/Hours
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- No call required
- Expectation to work 75% of holidays
- Flexible scheduling cycle every 6 weeks
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months of recent Progressive Care/Stepdown experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Proficient with trach care, cardiac gtt, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care, and central line management
- Comfortable with floating to similar units within the region
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips Monitors
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse range of Stepdown patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
- Monitor telemetry, manage complex IVs and central lines, and coordinate care transitions
