Youll also work in a progressive care setting that provides robust interdisciplinary support: CNAs, charge nurses, on-site phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, and 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage. Direct patient ratios offer a focused care environment, while state-of-the-art systems like EPIC and Omnicell support quality workflow.

Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends every other week
  • Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
  • Possibility of low census call (with call-back procedure)
  • Regional floating within scope, with paid travel time for mid-shift reassignments

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience
  • Proficiency in cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, trach care, blood products, central line management, wound care, and chest tubes
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to float within the local hospital region
  • EPIC experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care for stepdown/PCU patients (excluding mechanical ventilation)
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and progressive care
  • Implement physician orders and assess for changes or complications
  • Document accurately using EPIC
  • Support a patient-centered, healing environment
