This travel nursing role provides a unique chance to collaborate within a stepdown unit at a renowned teaching hospital, exposing you to a diverse patient population and a variety of clinical cases, such as cardiac interventions, CVAs, DKA, and more. Schedule/Hours
- 13-week contract
- 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm7am)
- Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option for 48 upon request)
- Every other holiday; three weekends per six-week schedule
- Bi-weekly orientation
Qualifications
- Active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required (attach with application)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience (1 year in stepdown, Level II trauma)
- At least 1 previous travel assignment
- Recent proficiency with EPIC charting (checkoff required)
- Proficiency in tele/12-lead EKG, drip initiation/titration, neuro assessments, and post-surgical care
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and change management skills
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with home vents, PleurX/pericardial/lumbar drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent patient care to a diverse mix of diagnoses
- Float between nearby campuses within your skillset (with advance notice)
- Participate in teaching hospital activities, which may include supporting students and new hires
