This travel nursing role provides a unique chance to collaborate within a stepdown unit at a renowned teaching hospital, exposing you to a diverse patient population and a variety of clinical cases, such as cardiac interventions, CVAs, DKA, and more. Schedule/Hours

  • 13-week contract
  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm7am)
  • Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option for 48 upon request)
  • Every other holiday; three weekends per six-week schedule
  • Bi-weekly orientation

Qualifications

  • Active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required (attach with application)
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience (1 year in stepdown, Level II trauma)
  • At least 1 previous travel assignment
  • Recent proficiency with EPIC charting (checkoff required)
  • Proficiency in tele/12-lead EKG, drip initiation/titration, neuro assessments, and post-surgical care
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and change management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with home vents, PleurX/pericardial/lumbar drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent patient care to a diverse mix of diagnoses
  • Float between nearby campuses within your skillset (with advance notice)
  • Participate in teaching hospital activities, which may include supporting students and new hires
