Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week contract, 36 guaranteed hours per week (Nights: 12hr shifts, 6:30pm7am)
  • Required to work three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
  • Bi-weekly orientation
  • First-to-float within skillset; possible cross-campus float with 2-hour notice

Qualifications:

  • Active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted with application)
  • Minimum 2 years recent Stepdown experience and 1 travel contract OR 5 years Stepdown if no travel background
  • Recent EPIC charting experience (must pass check-off)
  • Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation (must pass tests)
  • Proficient with post-heart cath care, neuro assessments, critical thinking, and titrating cardiac/neuro drips

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert care for post-cardiac and neuro patients (cath, STEMI/NSTEMI, sepsis, DKA, neuro cases)
  • Float within and between campuses as required
  • Potential to precept new hires or students in this teaching environment
  • Maintain top-tier patient assessments and documentation
