A clinical opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with stepdown (PCU) experience in Central City, Nebraska. This contract position offers a 36-hour guaranteed schedule, providing stability while enhancing your critical care skills in a progressive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit
- Monitor patient conditions and coordinate care plans alongside healthcare teams
- Utilize specialized knowledge in cardiac and neurological care
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering compassionate care
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with at least one year of progressive care unit or stepdown experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours guaranteed per week
