Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Stepdown experience to provide essential patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This contract position requires clinical proficiency, adaptability, and commitment to delivering high-quality nursing support to a diverse patient population.
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted RN license
- Previous experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Willingness to adapt to changing clinical situations and patient needs
- Proficiency with electronic health records and relevant medical technology
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to Stepdown patients recovering from acute conditions
- Closely monitor patient status, observe for changes, and promptly report concerns
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments with accuracy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and ongoing care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and interventions
- Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
- Participate in ongoing training and remain current on best practices for Stepdown nursing
