Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients who are transitioning from intensive care, responding swiftly to changes in condition
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care, including detailed assessments, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure accurate charting and clear communication of patient progress to healthcare professionals and families
- Educate patients and families on post-hospital care and continued recovery needs
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with best practices and hospital policy
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current, active RN license and BLS/ACLS certification required
- Proven experience in a stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care unit
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Compassionate communicator with dedication to patient-centered care
