Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in stepdown or progressive care
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, assess, and document patient progress with close attention to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and interventions per physician orders
  • Collaborate proactively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Respond rapidly to changes in patient status, prioritizing patient safety
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans and wellness strategies
  • Uphold best practices in infection control and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure meticulous charting and timely reporting
