Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses with stepdown experience to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, active RN license in good standing
  • Demonstrated experience in stepdown or progressive care unit settings
  • Prior charge nurse or leadership experience highly preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills
  • Proficiency with patient monitoring, medication administration, and EMR documentation
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract hours (details available during interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive, compassionate patient care in a stepdown unit
  • Assume charge nurse duties, leading team members and coordinating daily assignments
  • Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes
  • Respond rapidly and skillfully to changes in patient status
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Serve as a resource to fellow nurses and support staff
  • Foster a positive, safe, and patient-focused environment
