Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract (specific shifts and length may vary)
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in the state of Michigan (or compact license)
- Minimum 12 years of recent step-down/telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Skilled in monitoring patients post-ICU, administering medications, and recognizing changes in patient condition
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt easily to new teams and environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for step-down level patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status, recognizing and responding to urgent changes
- Implement individualized care plans and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on post-hospital care and recovery
- Maintain accurate records, follow protocols, and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
