On the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Cardiac Surgery floor, youll provide high-acuity care to patients post-cardiac surgery, collaborating with an exceptional multidisciplinary team. This setting offers the chance to deepen your knowledge of cardiovascular nursing, work with innovative practices, and grow by learning from diverse clinical leaders and colleagues. Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (details and shift specifics available during interview process)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Record of successfully completing a proctored rhythm interpretation exam
- Previous stepdown or PCU experience preferred, especially in cardiac care
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients recovering from cardiac surgical procedures
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately, intervening promptly as needed
- Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and allied health professionals
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and prevent complications
- Accurately document interventions, assessments, and care plans in a timely manner
- Uphold safety and infection prevention standards at all times
