Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week contract starting 6/15
- Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option of 48 hours upon request)
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 pm 7 am
- Three weekends every six weeks, every other holiday
- Bi-weekly orientation
Desired Qualifications:
- Current active compact RN license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (attach upon application)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year stepdown experience
- Previous travel assignment required
- Trauma Level II experience and recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff class required)
- 12-lead EKG interpretation and ability to initiate/titrate drips
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability skills
- Preferred: Experience with home vents, specialized drains, and neuro/respiratory care
Responsibilities:
- Care for diverse acuity patients (cardiac, neuro, sepsis, DKA, GI bleeds, etc.)
- Float within skillset to nearby facilities as needed (with 2-hour notice for cross-campus float)
- Serve as a resource to colleagues and potentially precept students or new hires
- Maintain exceptional documentation and patient monitoring standards
