Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a stepdown, progressive care, intermediate care, or similar acute care setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and standard nursing documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from critical illness or surgery, closely monitoring and assessing condition changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute effective patient care
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions
- Accurately document all nursing interventions, observations, and ongoing care
- Respond effectively to emergencies, utilizing appropriate life-saving protocols
