Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No on-call shifts
- Holiday coverage: work 75% of holidays
- Flexible request time off, up to 6 days (excluding holidays)
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown or PCU RN experience
- Previous travelers and first-time travelers accepted
- Proficient with trach care, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care, and central line management
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with varied medical needs (CHF, dysrhythmia, stroke, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, AKI/CKD, etc.)
- Manage patient assignments in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 1:5)
- Float within regional settings, remaining paid for time spent traveling between facilities
- Utilize technology including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
