Schedule/Hours
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- No on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
- Up to 6 days of requested time off (excluding holidays)
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with tracheostomy care, cardiac gtt, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care, central line management
- Comfort with electronic documentation (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, and Phillips monitors
- Ready to float within nearby facilities as needed
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care in a 32-bed PCU environment, handling diverse cases such as CHF, dysrhythmias, stroke, abdominal illnesses, and more
- Triage and manage complex cases within nurse-patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamCNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, RT, and VAT Team
- Participate actively in orientation and ongoing professional development activities
- Float seamlessly between local sites, remaining compensated for travel time during shifts
