Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating weekends (every other)
• Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
• Possibility of low census call with call-back flexibility
• Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays expected
• Up to 6 days approved time off (excluding holidays; contract extension available for additional requests)

Qualifications/Experience:

• Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 18 months of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience
• Open to first-time travelers
• Clinical expertise with tracheostomies, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, wound care, central line management, and blood product administration

Responsibilities:

• Care for a range of adult medical-surgical and stepdown patients, including those with CHF, dysrhythmias, stroke, respiratory illness, AKI/CKD, and more
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:4, with potential for 1:5 based on acuity
• Utilize technology including EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Phillips monitors
• Collaborate with robust, multi-disciplinary teams: charge nurse, CNAs, RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and more
• Float within the regional network (travel compensated during mid-shift transitions)
